The Vreken Family - 01 January 2014

I think if you want to challenge a photographer, you ask them to do a family shoot - of their OWN family….  That is what we did on the very first day of 2014.  Get the Vreken clan together on the beach and try to be in the photos yourself…. Was probably one of the hardest shoots I’ve done.  However, it was great fun and we created memories we can treasure forever!  So I end with this quote from Dr. Seuss, as I feel it is the best way to describe this family (shoot)!

 

“We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love” – Dr. Seuss

Swanepoel Family - 28 December 2013

I had such a great time with the Swanepoel family just after Christmas.  They are a very close knit family and had so much fun. Laughing all the time, just loving being together.  And then there were the most beautiful little girls with their fairy dresses and big eyes.  Thanks for a wonderful time, you are a lovely family, and I sincerely hope I will see you again!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Swiegers & Rossouw families - 23 December 2013

To me one of the most important things in the world is ‘family’.  And that is why I love photography as I am able to capture special moments between so many families, and try to portray each family’s special bond and interaction.  So, again it was wonderful to meet Selma Rossouw and her family all the way from Bloemfontein, Griekwastad and Frankfort.  I had lots of fun during this shoot, and I think they did too....
