Magdaleen - 80th Birthday celebration

It is always so wonderful to meet amazing people from all over South Africa.  I met Ouma Magdaleen outside Oudtshoorn (Berluda Guest House) where the whole family gathered to celebrate her 80th birthday.  She looks anything but 80, just beautiful.  And she had the privilege to spend the day with all her brothers and sisters (5 of them).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Badenhorst family - June 2017 - Wilderness Beach

I absolutely love love love winter shoots.  Especially early morning or late afternoon.  The light is magic and everything is crisp and clean.  I had a wonderful (although freezing) shoot at 7:30am with Natalia, Johann, Philip and the gorgeous 2 month old Amy.  They are such a beautiful family, now living in Canada (so this is probably not really cold for them).  Afterwards it was slightly warmer inside with a studio shoot too.
